Book design of a field guide using typographic specimens. Three specimens were selected: Salmonberry, Cranberry and Blueberry.

To reflect the juiciness and powerful traits of these berries, a bright and bold palette of colours from real berries was created. Typefaces with formal but simple looks were chosen, to leave room for the detailed specimens.

I created the field guide design and the typographic illustrations of each specimen — made solely from a typeface fitting the berry’s nature. The goal was to create a juice and fun, but formal and credible look.
