Design of The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood — Anniversary Edition”.
A thorough research of earlier editions was undertaken, to try and encapsulate the feel of the Robin Hood Universe that the readers keep coming back for. I found that many editions looked quite old or very modern, from which a concept of mixing new and old was sprouted.

Inspiration for the colour palette and graphical elements was therefore drawn from the many existing editions, incorporating contrasting dark and bright colours, representing new and old.

I created all illustrations and chose a classic old-style serif for body text, with a more modern style condensed sans serif for headers, paired with a script typeface to give a nice organic contrast.
